UPDATED 17 OCTOBER
Lockdown will be eased at 11.59pm on 21 October but unfortunately all basketball activities continue to be excluded. However it now appears more likely that community indoor sport will be allowed to re-commence on 5 November 2021, although that is still subject to ongoing government decisions.
Until then, there are no beginners programs (Aussie Hoops, J League, Afternoon Mini Ball), EDJBA and VJBL, senior domestic and Big V games or trainings.
VJBL (Junior Representative competition)
Families should have received emailed information about forthcoming Introduction to Representative and Selection Trials for the 2021-22 season.
Over the coming week the club will be communicating with further details including:
- Online information sessions for both parents and players
- Details of Try out times, requirements and how to register
- Face to face information sessions at age group levels during try outs
EDJBA (Junior Domestic competition)
The Summer 2021/22 season will start as soon as permissible and practicable. More information soon.
Collingwood Senior Domestic competition
Instead of finals in December, the current season will now be extended to run through to finals in March 2022. Additional fixtures for the added rounds will be available soon. There will be no games between 14 December 2021 and 15 January 2022.
There will be more details to follow in regard to resumption after this extended period of no basketball.
There is currently still no access to the Collingwood College basketball stadium.
There will be no competition and training at Collingwood or any of our other training venues. Please contact admin@collingwoodbasketball.com.au if you require any assistance.
Please remain safe and we look forward to our return to Collingwood Basketball as soon as possible. More information: Basketball Victoria Return to Sport Guidelines
