For over 50 years, CBA has been at the heart of basketball in Melbourne’s inner north, providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to participate, develop, and belong. As a not-forprofit community sporting organisation, CBA is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and participant-centred environment where everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the game of basketball.
CBA proudly competes in the Eastern District Junior Basketball Association (EDJBA), one of Victoria’s premier junior basketball competitions. Each season, CBA fields more than 140 teams across the competition, providing playing opportunities for hundreds of athletes from our local community.

The EDJBA covers an area from Collingwood through to Eltham and Park Orchards. Collingwood home games are played at our three court stadium at Collingwood College, Bundha Sports Centre and Fitzroy High School.
The Winter season runs during the second and third school terms. Teams comprise players who are under the age of 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21 on the 1st January before the season commences.
The Summer season runs during the fourth and first school terms. Teams comprise players who are under the age 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 21 years on 1st July before the season commences.
The first six rounds of each season are grading games. Ladders are compiled after grading is completed and are available after round 7.
