The 2026 Big V season has come to a close, with Collingwood Basketball Association celebrating a year that delivered team success, individual achievements and another important step forward for the All Stars program.
Across our four teams, the season provided plenty to celebrate, led by an outstanding campaign from our Youth League Women.
The Youth League Women finished the home and away season on top of the Youth League Two ladder with a 16 and 2 record before progressing all the way to the Grand Final. Their season came to an end in a hard fought decider at Collingwood Basketball Stadium, played in front of more than 450 spectators.
The result did not go their way on the day, but reaching the Grand Final and bringing such a large crowd together at Collingwood was a significant achievement for the team and the broader All Stars program.
Our Youth League Men also enjoyed a strong season, finishing fourth in Youth League Three with an 11 and 7 record and earning a place in the finals.
At the senior level, our Division One Women finished the season with six wins, while the Division Two Men recorded five wins. While both teams finished outside the finals, the season provided opportunities to continue developing our senior program and connecting our youth and senior pathways.
All Stars recognise their best
Players, coaches, support staff and members of the CBA community came together at Bodriggy Brewing on Sunday 30 August for the 2026 All Stars Big V Presentation.
More than 40 people representing all four teams attended the event as we recognised the achievements and contributions of those involved throughout the season.

Most Valuable Player: Leeroy Cocco
Coaches Award: Oli Dart
Youth Women
Most Valuable Players: Jessica McKain and Ella Weimer
Coaches Award: Hayden Neil
The presentation also saw the introduction of the Game Day Excellence Award, recognising the people whose work behind the scenes helps make the Big V program possible.
Macherie Bisak was named the inaugural recipient for her contribution to the program throughout the season.
All Stars recognised among Big V’s best
The achievements continued at the Basketball Victoria Big V Awards, with several members of the Collingwood program recognised among the competition’s leading players and coaches.
The standout individual achievement belonged to Leeroy Cocco, who was named the Youth League Division Three Men Most Valuable Player and selected in the All Star Five.
Leeroy was a major contributor throughout Collingwood’s finals campaign, averaging 20.95 points per game across 19 appearances.
Ella Weimer was also rewarded for an outstanding season with selection in the Youth League Division Two Women All Star Five, adding to her recognition as one of Collingwood’s Youth Women Most Valuable Players.
Collingwood was also represented among the finalists across a number of Big V award categories.
Amelia Dent was a finalist for the Division One Women Youth Player of the Year, Willie Weimer was a finalist for Youth League Two Women Coach of the Year, Jessica McKain was recognised among the Youth League Two Women All Star Five contenders, and Kek Deng was a finalist for Youth League Division Three Men Defensive Player of the Year.
The breadth of that recognition across our men’s and women’s programs, players and coaches was a positive reflection of the season produced by the All Stars.
More than the results
While wins, finals and awards provide important measures of the season, the All Stars program continues to be built by a much larger group of people.
Thank you to our players and coaches for the commitment they made throughout the year, and to our team managers, statisticians, scorers, game day staff, volunteers and everyone else who contributed across the season.
Thank you also to the sponsors, families, friends and CBA supporters who followed the teams throughout 2026. The more than 450 people who packed Collingwood Basketball Stadium for the Youth League Women Grand Final demonstrated the support that continues to grow around our representative program.
