All Stars Rep Selection – Tryout Information

Welcome to the hub for all information associated to the Collingwood All Stars  Basketball Association’s VJBL Trials for the 2025/26 season. There is a change of process this year, so please ensure you read all information below before completing registration.

Tryout Age Groups

2025-2026 VJBL Age Groups (Year of Birth)

Under 12      2015, 2016, 2017
Under 14      2013 & 2014
Under 16      2011 & 2012
Under 18      2009 & 2010
Under 20      2007 & 2008

What do I need to know before registering?

• Trials at Collingwood Basketball are held in 2 stages: Pre Rep & Official Trials. To understand where your child needs to start, read the information below.

• Players are required to attend all sessions

• Players must bring either a black and white reversible singlet or a white top and a black top, a named basketball and a named drink bottle.

• All players trying out from other VJBL associations must have provide a signed “Permission to Train” (PTT) form. Basketball Victoria will post the PTT form online after Monday 22 September 2025, with a link shared here.

Stage 1 – Pre Rep Trials

Pre Rep Trials are required for all current domestic players across U12-U18 Boys, as well as U12 Girls. Those who are successful from these sessions will progress into our Official Trials in October.

Dates and Times for the sessions are below. Both sessions are mandatory.

Sunday September 7^th @ Collingwood College (10 McCutcheon Way, Collingwood VIC 3066)

9-10am = U12 Girls

11-12pm = U12 Boys
12-1pm = U14 Boys
1-2pm = U16 Boys
2-3pm = U18 Boys

Sunday September 14^th @ RMIT Bundoora (203 McKimmies Rd, Bundoora VIC 3083)

10-11am = U12 Girls

12-1pm = U12 Boys
1-2pm = U14 Boys
2-3pm = U16 Boys
3-4pm = U18 Boys

Existing VJBL / Rep players (both at Collingwood and other clubs), as well as domestic U14-U16-U18 Girls will register via a separate link associated to our Official Trials (see below).

Stage 2 – Official Trials

Players who progress from the Pre Rep Trials, and U14-U16-U18 Girls, will join the current Collingwood Basketball VJBL Players, as well as players from other VJBL clubs, in Official Trials.
