Collingwood Basketball Association Announces Partnership with Community Bank Clifton Hill – North Fitzroy

Collingwood Basketball Association is proud to announce a new partnership with Community Bank Clifton Hill – North Fitzroy, strengthening a shared commitment to community connection, participation, and local impact across Melbourne’s inner north.

The partnership will support Collingwood Basketball’s growing community programs and inclusion initiatives, helping reduce barriers to participation and creating more opportunities for children and young people to engage in basketball.

Community Bank Clifton Hill – North Fitzroy, part of the Bendigo Bank network, is a proudly community owned branch dedicated to strengthening the inner north through meaningful local investment. Located at 101 Queens Parade, Clifton Hill, the Bank reinvests a significant portion of its profits directly back into the community, supporting organisations, programs, and initiatives that make a real difference.

Offering the full range of Bendigo Bank financial services, the branch combines trusted banking with a “profit for purpose” model. The more people who join Community Bank Clifton Hill – North Fitzroy, the more money can be reinvested into the local community. Since 2006, the Bank has reinvested more than $6 million into local initiatives.

The partnership aligns closely with Collingwood Basketball’s recently launched Strategic Plan and its theme of “All Stars, One Community”, focused on creating an inclusive, connected, and accessible basketball environment across Melbourne’s inner north.

Collingwood Basketball Association General Manager Shaun McEachin said the partnership reflected the organisation’s commitment to ensuring basketball remains accessible and community driven.

“Our Strategic Plan is centred around the theme of ‘All Stars, One Community’. That means creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, connected, and supported to participate in basketball.”

“Community sport creates opportunities for young people to connect, develop confidence, and build a sense of belonging. Partnerships like this help ensure more children and families can access those opportunities, regardless of their background or financial circumstances.”

Through the partnership, Collingwood Basketball will continue delivering community and school clinics, subsidised development programs, and volunteer supported initiatives designed to increase participation and long-term engagement in basketball.

McEachin said the organisation was proud to align with a community focused business that actively reinvests into the local area.

“Community Bank Clifton Hill – North Fitzroy has a strong reputation for supporting initiatives that create genuine local impact. We are excited to work together to strengthen opportunities for young people and continue building a more connected basketball community.”
