Any stadium that is developed, built or extended should be designed to service a number of different team sports. Individual sports and leisure activities (e.g. gymnasium, swimming, tennis, cycling) are already offered in various locations in each of the cities of Yarra, Darebin and Melbourne, whereas indoor team sports and activities have few or no local government or state government sponsored community facilities.
